Did he actually get taller at that point? You could sort of see that his Go-Back clothing looked a bit tight, but he didn't seem to have much more height than before. At least not when compared to Rogue's Curse Rayek. Also, the Gliders were so atrophied in spirit when Blue Mountain fell, that one body was a good as the next (Rayek's), and perhaps drowsy spirits can't find the Palace easily - remember, theres never been an exact description of how it draws the spirits to it, just that it does, and that up until the end of the Shards War, the spirits already in the Palace were slumbering, so we'll assume that they went this way after they entered (Kureel), but that the Gliders were already dozy, didn't have that "astral push" to send them off to the Palace. I know that might sound odd, but it makes sense to me, although I seem to be losing focus on the screen.
