I'm a huge fan of Wendy's black and white work. There's a strange bias towards color in the the U.S. but there's a long tradition of black and white comics, both in other countries as well as in the independent comics movement here in the States. Wendy is a master at inking and using positive and negative space. If you pay attention to that as you're looking at B&W versions if might help you develop a better appreciation for it.
