The Humans of the World of Two Moons are, like those of our own planet Earth, infinitely varied in their manner and outlook. There were the unrefined, brutal savages that tried to slaughter the Firstcomers, and burn the Wolfriders from their forest home. In feudal times, the rapacious ambition of the feudal Djun and his contemporaries threatened to lay waste to half a world. In the not-so-distant future, Abode (the humans’ own name for their planet) is home to a (mostly) enlightened, scientifically advanced people that lives during a time when — mysteriously — Elves and Trolls have disappeared from the world and seemingly vanished into the legends of Abode.
